Healthy Leadership Event at Camp Allegheny
Healthy churches have healthy leaders! What makes a healthy leader? How do we maintain balance – of mind, body, spirit – of the personal with the professional – of being and doing? What resources and inspires a leader so that he/she is resourceful and inspirational? These regional events will highlight the habits of healthy leaders and offer practical resources for developing congregational leaders that, by example, will discover the joy of mentoring other disciples into leaders.
$12 per person. Pay online or at the door. You can register online then pay at the door.

Workshops for Healthy Leadership:
- Devotions and Discernment: How are meetings in the church different than other “business” meetings? We will explore how devotions set the tone for decisions to be a group discernment of God’s leading.
- Communicate, Communicate, Communicate: How can we improve our ability to keep people informed and build participation and excitement about our ministry? We will explore the importance of sharing what’s happening through a variety of communication tools.
- Meetings Mechanics: What things need to be considered to make our time together most productive? We will consider everything from room set ups, agendas, flow of conversation and methods for decision making.
- Leading with Spiritual Gifts: What tools are available to help us discover and live out the joy of serving with our Spirit-given gifs? We will look at inventories and ways such information can help us engage others in our ministries.
- Death by Meeting: How can we most effectively use our time as we do our work together? Using the basics of a popular book by the same title, we will explore the importance of having different kinds of meetings for differing purposes.
- Right People in Right Places: How can we engage people in ministries that speak to their passions and need the skills they offer? How to invite and involve others are important skills for leaders and we will explore tips for the recruitment and care of volunteers.
- Not All Eyes!: How can he honor the rich diversity of God’s people? We will look at the different leadership styles and principles of dialogue that avoid the damage of conflict when we work together.
- Mentoring Leaders: How can we nurture and care for others in order to develop leadership in others? The care and feeding of volunteers through delegation and appreciation are needed skills for leaders shaping leaders.
