Mission / Volunteers in Mission (VIM)

United Methodists are in mission in their communities and throughout the world through local churches, regional mission agencies, partnerships and denominational organizations such as the United Methodist Committee on Relief and partnerships. 

Volunteers in Mission are people with a passion for mission who answer a call to give their gifts and skills where needed, without charge - locally, nationally, and internationally, as individual volunteers and with teams. 

They exemplify the VIM motto, Christian Love in Action, based on I John 3:18 –
“My children, our love should not be just words and talk; it must be true love, which shows itself in action."
