Connellsville District

The Connellsville District consists of 99 churches covering a large geographical territory interupted by the mountains that give us the great ski resorts of Hidden Valley and Seven Srings.  On our western side, the Monongahela serves as our border.  The northern border goes through Mt Pleasant and eastward toward Hooversville.  The Eastern border angles SE toward Hyndman while our southern border is Maryland and West Virginia.  We often refer to our district as three subdistricts historically referred to as Somerset, Conn-Scott and Brownsville.  

Our district is home to many mountainess landscapes, white water rafting, hiking trails and resorts.  We also have Camp Jumonville in the Uniontown area and Camp Allegheny is near Somerset.  

The people here are hard working, sincere followers of Christ and devoted toward making disciples.

Bio: Bill Blair is a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary and the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. He was raised in Somerset PA on a commercial dairy farm. He is married to Beth Blair and they have four children born between 1991 and 2007. In chronological order, they are Shanda, Jordan, Ryan and Preston. Returning to Connellsville as a DS was a homecoming. Bill and Beth both attended Somerset Area Schools, and Bill's first appointment was at the HOME charge which includes Hooversville, Otterbein and Mostoller churches. Bill also served at Titusville in the E-M district. Both appointments were exactly what Bill needed at the time to grow and become the pastor he is today. He seeks to serve alongside his colleagues and laity to do all that we can to help reach as many as we can with an emphasis on children's ministry.
