 On the final day of work in New Jersey, the Western PA went to a new location and helped a woman removed damaged appliances, clean muck out of her home and yard and pull up floorboard.

NJ Early Response Team - Day 3-Sea Bright

 On the second day of working in Sea Bright, Western Pennsylvania's Early Response Team got to know the owners of the homes where they worked a little better. It helped them understand the deep connections to the area and appreciate some random acts of kindness by persons unknown. 

UM Advocacy: Standing for the Most Vulnerable

Nearly every time United Methodist Advocacy in Pennsylvania takes a public position on an issue before lawmakers or the governor of Pennsylvania, executive director Steve Drachler gets calls and emails saying he has no business telling government officials what they should do. The group has been accused of being partisan--by those on both sides of the aisle and by governors of both parties. Drachler says there are days he wishes Jesus were governor.

After Fitness Center Shootings, Let Us Pray!

A shooting spree at LA Fitness in Bridgeville left three woman and the alleged gunman dead, 10 injured and countless others devastated. Two of the victims were United Methodist. Join us in prayer for all touched by this tragedy.
