 Conference Missionary Tina Whitehead returned to Jerusalem from Western PA in time for President Obama's visit. As his visit ended, she sent offered her perspective. 

 Tina Whitehead has returned to Jerusalem just in time for President Barack Obama's visit. 

 Since September 2011, Tina Whitehead has been involved in planning the 2nd annual Christ at the Checkpoint conference at Bethelehem Bible College. More than 600 evangelical Christians attended the March  2012 event.

 Last week Tina Whitehead of Oakmont UMC and Jan Ogden of Indiana Grace UMC, both now volunteering in Israel/Palestine, connected for two days with 150 WPA travelers on the Lands of the Bible cruise led by Bishop Thomas J. Bickerton.

 Tina Whitehead experienced wonderful hospitality inPalestine from a former University of Pittsburgh law student now practicing in Nablus. He spoke to her Sunday School class at Oakmont UMC last spring.

Tina is back in Jerusalem when the world is listening to speeches encouraging or discouraging Palestine’s efforts to be recognized by the UN as a State.

Israeli authorities demolished the East Jerusalem home of a Palestinian family of five  the day a team of 13 mission volunteers from Western Pennsylvania arrived to help with the olive harvest. The team met with the family, now homeless, on the last day of their two-week stay.
